Overview

This guide will instruct you on setting up your Referral client software to use your PKI token. You will need to install your PKI token before proceeding with the install of the Referal Client.

Hardware and Software requirements

Make sure you have your PKI token or Smartcard installed before you install the Medical-Objects Referral Client (Trinity). Otherwise the Trinity will not recognise your PKI.

1. Locate your PKI token or Smartcard and follow the instructions specific to that key.

This can involve installing Drivers and Safe Sign software from the CD sent to you by Medicare.

If you do not have an Ikey or Smart Card you can apply for one at http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/provider/business/online/register/files/app-for-non-known-ma-healthcare-profess-indiv-cert.pdf (If you have never registered for a key)
http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/provider/business/online/register/files/ma-healthcare-professional-individual-certificate-app.pdf (If you have previously registered for a key and require a new one)
For keys other than the iKey 2000 series the key will have to be plugged in before you try to open Trinity. The key will be functioning correctly if you see a solid green light on its reader.
