The Eclipse product should be appropriately configured by a Medical-Objects team member before deploying. This page outlines and Eclipse based tasks that should be monitored from time to time.

Potential Problem: The archive folder becomes too large

The Eclipse product logs messages processed and for sites with larger volumes, this can occasionally fill the directory containing the log files with excessive number of messages. The Windows FAT system can only contain 65,534 files and folders, but you may have other types of file systems at your organisation. Consult appropriate documentation to determine the maximum number of files that are located there.

Resolution:

For many sites you may not reach this limit, but for high volume sites, you should be aware that the number of messages could cause delays. You should use an appropriate tool for your site that either archives them to another folder, ideally as a zip file or other form of compressed content. There are many tools that can be configured for this such as Batch files, Powershell scripts, Perl, Automise and many other tools. You should select the appropriate tool your system administrators are familiar with.
