Typical installation for Mac Capricorn clients to import Results into Genie software.

How to install the Medical Objects Capricorn for Macs

1. Open the Web browser and navigate

1. to download.medical-objects.com.au
    
2. Under Latest Installers,

1. Find Download Client (Capricorn) and Click

1. on 'Download (Mac)'
   
   
2. From the drop down

1. select 'OS X 10.4 and Higher'

1.  to start the download

1. of 'MO-Capricorn-Setup.dmg'

2. Click

1. the 'Downloads'

1.  icon in safari (or navigate to the downloads folder)

2. Double click the 'MO-Capricorn-Setup.dmg'

1.  in the downloads list (or from the downloads folder).
    
2. The Mac will verify the integrity of the DMG and then open a finder window displaying

1. the MO-Capricorn-Setup.app

1.  file.
   
   

2. Double click on

1. the 'MO-Capricorn-Setup.app'

1.  to begin the installation.

   Warning
   title IMPORTANT
   After running the MO-Capricorn-Setup.app you may be confronted with a popup informing you that the MO-Capricorn-Setup.app has not been downloaded from the App store and only provide you with a 'Cancel' button if you get the pop up follow steps 7a-7c of this guide, If you didn't get a pop up and the Capricorns Token window appears go to Step 8.

   7a. If you get the Pop saying the Capricorn has not been downloaded from the app store close the pop up and hold

1. down Ctrl

1.  on the keyboard and click on the 'MO-Capricorn-Setup.app'

   7b. From

1. the Ctrl+Click

1.  drop down select 'Open'
   
   7c. The Pop-up will appear but will now have an open option click 'Open'

   The Pop-up described above is apart of apples 'gatekeeper' security.

2. After installation the Capricorn will automatically start and ask for a registration token.
    

3. Enter the Registration token given to you by the Medical-Objects Helpdesk. If you do not have a token, please contact the Medical-Objects helpdesk on (07) 5456 6000.
   
   

4. Click 'OK'

   Warning
   It is important that you WAIT for the cap to start processing before continuing to the next step, Or it can corrupt the registration.

2.  After Installation has completed and the Capricorn has finished registering

1. click Stop

   
   

2. Click

1.  Exit to shut the Capricorn down.

2. Open Finder

1.  and Navigate

1. to Applications
   
   
2. Right click

1. the MO-Capricorn.app

1.  and select Duplicate
   
   
2. Rename the duplicate

1. from MO-CapricornCM copy.app

1.  to MO-CapricornCM-Backup.app

1. the MO-CapricornCM.app

1.  to start the Capricorn in the Dock.
   
   
2. Right Click the Capricorn in the Dock.
   
   
3. Expand the Options menu and click

1.  Keep in Dock
   
   
2. Right Click again on the Capricorn Dock Icon and this time in the options menu

1. click Open at Login.

2. You have now completed the installation of the Medical-Objects Capricorn.
