Overview

Provide a procedure to install and configure Medical-Objects Capricorn and Shexie Practice software to import electronic results.

This process is based on the Microsoft Windows XP environment.

 

Note
Make sure you have the newest version of Shexie, this instruction uses Version 6.0 Revision 414.

Configuring Medical Objects Capricorn with Shexie

  1. Double click

NoteIf the Capricorn HL7 tray icon is not visible, open Capricorn from Start Menu > All Programs > Medical-Objects > Medical Objects Capricorn or from the C:\MO\Capricorn\Capricorn.exe.


  1. The Log window is displayed.

  1. the ACK Management path

to
  1.  to the local Import folder on the server or the network path on a workstation, that points to the server import folder.
    For example:

    Acknowledgement paths in Shexie
    (Capricorn installed on the Server) --

  1. C:\Shexie\pathology\MoAcks
    Or
    (Capricorn installed on the Workstation) --

>
  1. \\server\Shexie\pathology\MoAcks

NoteIf the folders do not exist you must create them.

    Integration Settings
    Set Tick Box

to
  1. to "Evaluate and Strip"
    Set Tick Box

to
  1. to "Convert to Pit"
    Set Tick Box

to
  1. to "Preserve Sending Facility in Pit"
    Set Incoming Modifier

to
  1. to "Capricorn Modifier" 
     

Select
  1. Select Server Parameters
from
  1.  from the left panel.

  2. Under Message Output Directory (main)
set
  1.  set the results import path.
     
  2. The path can be different depending on where Capricorn is installed.

    For example:

    Download paths in Shexie
    (Capricorn installed on the Server) -->

  1.  C:\Shexie\pathology\Or
    (Capricorn installed on the Workstation) --

  1. \\server\Shexie\pathology\
     
  2. The configuration is complete.
Click
  1. Click Apply
and

Shexie Configuration

InfoIf performing the steps below doesn't show any of your reports, and they stay remaining in the folder - call Shexie (1300 743 943) as they will need to further

 

 

configure Shexie to import.

  1. To check Pathology results, go to
the
  1. the Housekeeping
Tab
  1.  Tab and then
select
  1. select Pathology.

  2. This will then display the Pathology Results you have received.

  3. To check if Specialist or Allied health letters have arrived
select
  1. select E-Letters

  2. This will then display the E-Letters you have received.
